Group of "Lower Vistula"
The Lower Vistula Group - a tactical group of the Polish Army of the Second Polish Republic, improvised in August 1920, during the war with the Bolsheviks.
July 27, 1920, the Ministry of Military Affairs instructed the command of the General District "Łódź" to begin preparations for the defense of the lower Vistula. Three days later, the ministry issued another ordinance on the construction of fortifications on the left bank of the river and the organization of the prefectures in Wyszogród, Płock and Włocławek. Under the assumption, each of the three prefixes was to be defended by one division. Due to the lack of liner units, the ministry ordered the OGen Command. "Łódź" to fill the crew and the Vistula line by the reserve units of the district. In addition, the ministry has cut the limits of the defense section for OGen. "Łódź" from Nowiny to Chrapy.
On August 17, 1920, Lieutenant General Józef Lasocki, commanded by the Supreme Command, arrived with Lieutenant General Jozef Lasocki.
