Inspiration for the story of the Count's revenge Skarbek was the novel Count of Monte Cristo Alexander Dumas father. The comic tells the story of a trial of the mysterious Polish Count Mieszko Skarbek, who returned to France after a few years' absence, is described as a legendary female painter working under the pseudonym Louis Paulus. The Count demands the return of images illegally seized by his enemies. The appearance of the Skarbek in Paris provokes panic among his opponents and arouses the stir among the sensational inhabitants.
