No one will choose my friends - Andrzej Garczarek's song, made during the First Real Song Review in Gdańsk in August 1981 (Olivia Hall). Duration - 3:14 minutes.
The song was unusual for the artist's work. She operated a historical one, containing to well-known historical events as well as less common knowledge given by means of metaphor. In the title, as in the refrain, there is a message to the communist authorities, including the theoretical allies of the Warsaw Pact, about the fascisties of friendships existing between these countries. Speech is about the invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968, including the death of Jan Palach compared to a swallow, or the complicated story of the writer Ota Pavla, who fell into a mental illness. It is also a reproach to mention the patina on the monuments of the Fryderyk corpora - the author believed that the idea of hostile Poland of the Prussian state survived in the GDR and is cultivated against the official propaganda assurances of the Berlin authorities (eg August von Gneisenau was put up in eastern Germany for the historical model of socialist defense and in 1981 his monument was unveiled in Sommerschenburg - on the 150th anniversary of death).
