Natalie Kurowa's greatest success came in 1986, when she won the bronze medal at the European Championships in Geithus. Only Andrea Ehrig-Mitscherlich from the GDR and Dutchman Yvonne van Gennip were ahead of the competition. The second was 500 m, the third was 1500 m, the third was 1,500 m, and the seventh was 5000 m. The fourth was the European Championship in Groningen, losing the podium with Jacqueline Börner from the GDR.
