She was the daughter of John II Palaeologie, Marquis of Montferrat in 1338-1372 and Isabel of Majorca (born 1337, after 1430, daughter of James III, the last king of Majorca). His brothers were: Otto III Paleolog, Jan III Paleolog and Teodor II Paleolog. Her marriage with Peter Aragon, Count Urgel took place in 1376. In 1408 she became widowed.
