Invertebrate Biology - An international, peer-reviewed scientific journal on invertebrate zoology.
The letter is published by Blackwell Publishing on behalf of the American Microscopical Society. In the years 1885-1995 appeared under the name Transactions of the American Microscopical Society. The name was changed to emphasize that its subject matter covers not only the microscopic level. Works are published on the full range of biology of all groups of invertebrates, including animal protists. The work may concern, among others. genetics, cytology, molecular biology, morphology, biomechanics, reproductive and developmental biology, physiology and behavior, ecology, evolution and phylogeny.
The 2015 impact factor was 1.2. In 2014 it ranked 62th in ISI Journal Citation Reports in marine and freshwater biology and 66 in zoology.
