Revolutionary Youth League

Revolutionary Youth Union - a Marxist anti-Stalin youth organization created as a result of the break-up of the Polish Youth Union. On November 26, 1956 the Warsaw Assemblage of the ZMP, in solidarity with the changes of October 1956, established the RZM Coordination Committee and adopted the ideological-political platform of the Union. Two days later, RZM committees were established at the Jagiellonian University and in Huta im. Lenin in Cracow. On 6-7 December 1956, a national meeting of delegates of revolutionary youth groups took place in Warsaw, where the Central Organizing Committee of the RZM was established. On January 2, 1957, a joint congress of the RZM and the Workers' Youth Union was held, in which the Socialist Youth Union was established. Józef Lenart was the chairman of the RZM, and Jerzy Grotowski was the leading actor. Literature
