Wiesława Roszkowska-Jakimiec - Polish scientist, chemist, doctor habilitatus in medical sciences. Curriculum vitae

In 1977 she graduated in chemistry at the Warsaw University Branch in Białystok. Immediately after graduation, she started working at the Medical Academy in Bialystok. In 1983 under the supervision of dr hab. Krzysztof Worowski from the Department of Analytical Chemistry defended his doctoral thesis "Complex combinations of alkaline proteins with polyanions", obtaining the academic degree of doctor of natural sciences. In 2008, on the basis of scientific achievements and the complex dissertation "Peptide inhibitor Cathepsin D from shell vetch seeds", she obtained the postdoctoral degree of medical science.

The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia.
