System lendungowy

Lendung system - a medieval system of territorial division into organizational units that were able to build a battleship (Langskip) and provide its combat troops and supplies.

Buildings were mostly sneezes (40-sows) or skeids (sixty-headers). It was typical of Scandinavian societies (Danes, Norwegians, Swedes) as well as for Slavs living on the Baltic coast (Pomorzan, Wolin, Ranow, Obodrytów), the end of the first millennium and the first centuries (the Slavs confirmed in records from the 9th century).
