Éenyurt - Mardin railway line
The Şenyurt - Mardin railway line - a branch of the Baghdad Railway, which serves transport to and from the ancient city of Mardin in the Turkish province of Mardin. The line is 24.3 km long. It begins in enyenyur, where it detaches from Karkamış to Nusaybin. It ends at Mardin Station, however, which is located a few kilometers south of the city, in the village of İstasyon (Turning Station). The reason for this was the high cost of routing the line to Mardin itself, due to the rapid increase in altitude.
The only intermediate station on the line is Sekidüzü near the town of Gökçe. Bibliography
