Shōichi Tanaka


Shōichi Tanaka (born 8 August 1943) - Japanese, since 1999 he was the head of Honda Racing Developments. Career

Shōichi Tanaka joined the Honda Motor Company in 1966, and in 1971 became Honda's sales director. After seven years he became sales manager for the European market and became president of Honda in France. He moved to Honda's Power Products division, and a year later he became Senior Vice President of Honda America.

In 1999 he became head of Honda Racing Developments in Bracknell. He collaborated with the British American Racing team, which in 2004 received a place on the board. He was an advisor to Honda Racing Development and Honda Racing F1 Team and was the head of Honda Racing F1 Team operations.
