Radio MTM FM Starachowice
Radio MTM FM - the first one on the Kamienna River and so far the only local radio station broadcasting from Starachowice. She started on 22 November 1996. There were three persons: Michał Banach (famous theater and film actor), Tomasz Kordeusz (musician and composer) and Marek Tokarski (filmmaker, TVP and TVN collaborator). From the first letters in the names of the owners took the abbreviation MTM (Michał, Tomasz, Marek).
During the first years, MTM FM managed to gain quite a large number of listeners. The music was often reminiscent of RMF FM, but it was dominated by a large number of local shows and programs like "Song on Request" and many others. Format change
Due to the depletion of the station formula, in May 2003, there were quite significant organizational and programming changes in the station. Justyna Borkowska-Ciok, the former head of the MTM advertising office, was the President of the Management Board. Its deputy was Bartosz Manicz, the presenter of the station. 2004 brought further planned changes. The new music and software format was decided. MTM FM Sp. with o.o. signed a franchise agreement with the Eska Radio (United Entertainment Company). Start Radio Eska Starachowice
Thanks to that, since March 2005 MTM FM broadcasts under the name of Radio Eska Starachowice 102.1 FM. In 2009, the shares in the company were taken over by Radio Eska S.A. The seat of MTM FM was transferred to Warsaw, and the position of President was taken by the director of the Management Board of Eska S.A., Małgorzata Mizińska.
