Lactoferycyna
Lactoferricin - a naturally occurring, amphipathic, cationic peptide derived from lactoferrin. It has antibacterial, anti-cancer and immunomodulatory properties.
It forms in the gastrointestinal tract under the influence of the pepsin proteolytic enzyme, which cuts off the N-terminal fragment from the protein - lactoferrin present in milk and body fluids.
Human lactoferrin is a peptide identical to fragment 1-47 of lactoferrin. It has two subunits and two connecting disulfide bridges.
