Labor Management Relations Act
Labor Relations Policy Act of 1947 (LMRA, Law regulating relations between the employer and employee), Taft-Hartley Act - one of the main labor law laws in the United States, defining the legal framework for the functioning of trade unions in this country, together with the earlier the NLRA Act, whose provisions have been supplemented. The act limited the possibilities of conducting legal strikes and employee protests to a large extent, and allowed, among others, the right of individual States to prohibit trade unions from enforcing compulsory affiliation to workers covered by them (so-called right-to-work laws against union security clauses).
