James P. Buchanan
James Paul Buchanan (born 1867, died 1937) is an American politician and member of the United States House of Representatives from 1913-1937 from the 10th electoral district of Texas. He performed during his term of office. as chairman of the congressional credit committee. His sudden death in 1937 created the need for additional elections in which the Democrat candidate, future Vice President and President of the United States, Lyndon B. Johnson, was elected.
Its name is a dam and lake near the town of Burnet. His cousin, Edward William Pou, represented North Carolina in the United States House of Representatives in 1901-1934.
