Albina Tuzowa


Albina Tuzowa (Russian: Альбина Тузова, born 1935 in Irkutsk) is a Soviet speed skater, two-time World Cup medalist. Career

Albina Tuzov's first career success came in 1961, when she won a silver medal at the Tobe's multi-sport world championships. In these competitions, she divided the two nationalities: Valentina Stienina and Lidia Skoblikowa. Tuzowa was second in the 500 and 1000 m, third in the 1500 m and fourth in the distance of 3000 m. Imatra won the bronze medal at the World Championships. In these competitions only Inga Voronin and Lidija Skoblikow were the better. In individual races she took sixth place in 500m, ninth in 1500m and third in distance of 1000m and 3000m. It was her only show in the international arena. In 1962 she won the bronze medal of the USSR championship. Bibliography
