Jan Wiedziora


Jan Dziędziora (born March 21, 1926 in Cracow, died March 12, 1987 in Warsaw) is a Polish painter. Curriculum vitae

During World War II he served in the Home Army, in the "Rebels" Group. He was awarded the Cross of Valor. After the war he studied briefly at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, in the years 1946-1951 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, under the direction of Aleksander Rafałowski. In 1955 he was one of the All-Poland Exhibition of Young Plastics "Against the War - Against Fascism", the so-called. "Arsenal". In subsequent years, he rarely exhibited, remaining outside the mainstream of cultural life. In 1980-1985 he became lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In the 1980s he became involved in the independent exhibition movement.
