Democratic Union (DEU) - a Czech right-wing political party, active in 1994-2001. History

The party was registered on March 7, 1994. She was self-employed in the House of Lords elections in 1996 (2.8%) and in 1998 (1.5%), not gaining a parliamentary representation. In 1996, he introduced one of his representatives to the Senate.

In 1998, the DEU joined the Fourth Party, which also included the Christian Democratic Union - the Czechoslovak People's Party (KDU-ČSL), the Freedom Union (US) and the Civic Democratic Alliance (ODA). On October 27, 2001 the DEU decided to integrate with the US, which on December 31, 2001 adopted the name of the Union of Freedom - Democratic Union (US-DEU).

The Presidents of the Democratic Union were Alena Hromádková (1994-1996) and Ratibor Majzlík (1996-2001).
