Bjørn Tveter


Bjørn Tveter (born 13 June 1944 in Sandefjord) is a Norwegian speed skater. Career

Bjørn Tveter's biggest success came in 1972 when he finished fourth in the 1500 m at the Sapporo Olympic Games. In this run, the fight for the bronze medal lost to Göran Claeson from Sweden. The Fifth Games in Grenoble at the same distance four years ago were the fifth. In 1968 he was also seventh in the World Cup in Gothenburg. The fifth race was 500 m, the eighth was 5000 m, the third was 1,500 m, and the ninth was 10 m. In the same competition was the eighth in the two years later the world championships in Oslo and the European Championship in Innsbruck. In 1972 he ended his career.
