Albert Johnston (footballer)


Albert Johnston (born October 30, 1879 in Plympton-Wyoming, died?) - Canadian football player, player of the Galt FC Canadian club, Olympic champion.

In the Olympic Games he took part in 1904 in Saint Louis. Three club teams competed at that time, two from the United States and one from Canada. Canadians won all the meetings and won gold. Johnston, who played in this tournament as a midfielder, did not score a goal.

Before Galt, FC played for Toronto Gore Vales. Winner of the Ontario Cup (1902, 1903). He worked as a machine operator. Bibliography
