Tables Zejsznera
Tables Zejsznera
Zebrazner boards are spherical and generally flat stones of a rectangular or square shape, built from magura sandstone. The paths of the tourist trail and the mounds in which the wooden poles are embedded in the winter mark the trail. Right next to the tourist trail (while climbing up to the left side of it) there are huge rock blocks. In 1967, the largest of them was commissioned (steel) to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the visit of Vladimir Lenin, who reportedly watched the sunrise on Babia Gora in 1912. A similar table (bronze) was also mounted (and 5 years earlier) on the Czechoslovak side of the border. Some tourists organized special expeditions to remove these plaques, and finally they succeeded.
