Sofie Carsten Nielsen
Sofie Carsten Nielsen (born May 24, 1975 in Birkerød) is a Danish politician, deputy to the Folketinget, Minister for the years 2014-2015. Curriculum vitae
In the years 1995-2002 she studied at the University of Copenhagen, ending with the title cand.scient.pol. In the meantime, she obtained her MSc in European Policy and Administration from the European College in Bruges.
She worked as a political consultant in the European Parliament (2002-2004) and as deputy director of the department in the Ministry of Equality (2004-2009). From 2010 to 2011 he was in charge of the political department of the Danish engineering company (Ingeniørforeningen and Danmark).
In the 2011 election, Det Radikale Venstre was elected to the Danish parliament. She was the chairman of the party's parliamentary factions. In February 2014, Helle Thorning-Schmidt joined the other government as Minister for Science, Innovation and Higher Education. This function was held until June 2015, obtaining the same reelection in the same year.
