Mir Bashir Gasimov


Mir Bəşir Fəttah oğlu Qasımov (born 1879 in the village of Daşbulaq in southern Azerbaijan, died April 23, 1949 in Baku) - Azerbaijani and Soviet politician, chairman of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of Azerbaijan 1938-1949. Since 1898 associated with the revolutionary movement, from 1905 in the SDPRR, a worker in factories in Baku, a participant in the revolution of 1905-1907, 1917-1918 party officer in Lenkoranie and the district, 1918-1920 in all Azerbaijan. From February 12, 1920, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (Bolsheviks) of Azerbaijan, April 1920 to May 1921 Revolutionary Committee in Azerbaijan, 1921-1924 and 1931-1935 deputy chairman of the CEC of Azerbaijan, 1935-1937 People's Commissar of the Interior of the Azerbaijani SRR, 1937-1938 p.o. President of the CIS of the Azerbaijani SRR. From 21 July 1938 until the death of the chairman of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of Azerbaijan SRR.
