Jan Roman Starck


Jan Roman Starck (born August 11, 1926 in Lviv, died March 22, 2017) - Polish specialist in agricultural chemistry and fertilization of horticultural plants, prof. dr hab. Curriculum vitae

In 1951 he graduated from the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, then he started working at his alma mater. In 1961 he defended his doctoral thesis, in 1966 he was habilitated, in 1989 he received the title of professor. In the years 1967-1969 he was a deputy dean of the Faculty of Horticulture, in the years 1982-1994 he headed the Department of Soil Cultivation and Fertilizing Plant Horticulture.

From 1983 he was an ordinary member of the Warsaw Scientific Society. He held the position of the chairman of the Section of Agricultural Sciences of the Warsaw Scientific Society. He was an honorary member of the Polish Society for Horticulture and the Gardening Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

He was married to Zofia Starck. Honors
