Bill Alsup
Bill Alsup (born July 15, 1938 in Honolulu, August 9, 2016 in Silverton) is an American racing driver. Career Alsup started his international racing career in 1973 after competing in the SCCA National Championship Runoffs Formula F, where he was ranked in fifteenth. In the later period, he also appeared in the US Super Gold Championship, the Robert Bosch / Valvoline Championship, the IMSA Camel GT Challenge, the USAC Mini-Indy Series, the CART Indy Car World Series, the Indianapolis 500, the USAC Gold Crown Championship, the Budweiser / 7-Eleven Can -Am Series, Can-Am, IMSA Camel GTP Championship and IMSA Camel Lights.
The CART Indy Car World Series was launched between 1979-1984. In the 1981 season he was twice on the podium. A total of 175 points earned him the title of runner-up of the series. Bibliography
