Union of Independent Poland
Polish Independence Union - an armed independence organization established in September (29/30) 1939 in Warsaw, by members of the Board of the Silesian Insurgents Union - Warsaw Branch. The founding meeting was held in an apartment at ulica Różana, owned by Józef Szkandera.

The underground structure of the Polish United Workers' Union was modeled on the underground organizational structure of the January Uprising (January Uprising 1863) - on the so-called "Fives" - five groups of conspirators who did not know each other.
In April 1940, the Polish Independent Union changed its name to the Independent Poland.
