Wasilij Aleksandrowicz Shamszyn (Russian: Василий Александрович Шамшин, born 12 September 1926 in Jessentukach, died February 4, 2009 in Moscow) is a Soviet politician. Curriculum vitae Since 1944 he was a technician in the urban radiotranslation network in Moscow, 1945-1949 studied at the Moscow Institute of Telecommunications, later an engineer, senior engineer and research worker in defense industry. Since 1957 a candidate in technical sciences, since 1960 docent, since 1962 a member of the CPSU, 1965-1968 deputy head of the State Research Institute of Scientific Research. From 1968 deputy, 1975-1980 and deputy, and from October 1980 to July 1989 communications minister USSR, then retired. Since 1981 he was an alternate member, and from 1986-1990 a member of the Central Committee of the CPSU. Member of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR 10 and 11 tenure. Winner of the Lenin Prize. Myrmex Indikos, pol. Indian ant - an alleged species of gigantic ants (according to Herodot's description, larger than foxes, but smaller than dogs). The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia. Gold was to be obtained by caravans made up of several camels in the heat of the day, when the ants were protected underground. You had to do it quickly, because the ants sensed the smell of people and went on the pursuit, and they were deadly dangerous.
