Later, he was the commander of armored and mechanized troops of the 8th Army of the 1st Guard of the Belarusian Front, especially distinguished during the Vistula-Oder operation, skillfully commanding the combat operations of a group of tankers interrupting the defense of the opponent on the left bank of the Vistula in the region of Magnuszew. During the war, he was wounded five times. After the war, he became the deputy commander of the Kiev Military District, in 1951 he graduated from the Military Academy of the General Staff, and in 1956 he became the Novosibirsk Industrial Institute, in 1970 he ceased military service. He worked as a senior researcher at the Ukrainian Scientific and Research Institute of Technical Information. He was an honorary citizen of Volgograd, Borisov and Poznan. He was buried in Kiev.
