Anja Hazekamp (born January 21, 1968 in Vlagtwedde) is a Dutch environmental activist, biologist and politician, Member of the Tweede Kamer, Member of the European Parliament, VIII term. Curriculum vitae

She graduated in 1995 from Biology at the University of Groningen. She has been involved in the activities of various environmental organizations including animal rights activists. She worked as a university researcher and consultant for various organizations. She was a member of the Green Left, and in 2007 she went to the Animals Party. In the same year she became a councilor of Groningen. From January to May 2012 she was sent to Tweede Kamer, the lower house of the United States, temporarily replacing Marianne Thieme, who was on maternity leave. In 2014, PcdD was given the mandate of a member of the European Parliament for the eighth term of office.
