Wanda Zwolska from the house of Macenowiczówna (born January 14, 1913 in Jekatieroslavia in Ukraine, died December 9, 1979 in Łódź) - Polish historian of didactics.

Curriculum vitae

Studied at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius under Stanisław Kościałkowski (1931 - Ernest Godfrey Grodek's death). Then she worked in Junior High School and Junior High School. A. J. Czartoryski in Vilnius. During World War II in AK, engaged in secret teaching. After 1945, she joined Lodz. Since 1950 lecturer in teaching methodology at UŁ. Doctorate under Stefan Truchim in 1963 for UŁ (History of history teaching in grammar schools of the autonomous period of 1867-1914 - unpublished work). She was a member of the Editorial Board of the "Historical News".

Myrmex Indikos, pol. Indian ant - an alleged species of gigantic ants (according to Herodot's description, larger than foxes, but smaller than dogs). The earliest mention of these creatures is dated to the fifth century BC, and its author is Herodotus. According to her, these ants inhabited the deserts of Persia and India and extracted gold from their sands. Several such creatures were kept in the residence of the King of Persia. Gold was to be obtained by caravans made up of several camels in the heat of the day, when the ants were protected underground.
