Steel for carburizing

Steel for carburizing - steel used for thermo-chemical treatment - carburizing. In case of carburizing, higher-quality constructional steels, low-alloy steels and low- or medium-alloy steels (0.08 to 0.25%) of carbon content are used. Products made of such steel after carburization retain high ductility and resistance to core spreading and surface hardness. Sign 18H2N2 or 18NiMoSi7-6. This steel should have specific properties, i.e. high hardness of the surface while maintaining core continuity. Used for elements that require such properties: gears, screws, sleeves working under high pressure and load.
