Erotica, excerpts, pictures, epigrams

Erotica, fraxes, pictures, epigrams - collection of Polish erotica, fragments, pictures and epigrams from the 2nd half. XVI century, attributed to Erasmus Otwinowski The poems remained in the manuscript until the end of the nineteenth century, when Alexander Brückner found them in the manuscript code in the Zamoyski Library (next to the poems of Mikolaj Sępa Szarzyński or attributed to him). Brückner published them in part in 1891 as poems by an unknown poet. The full edition was published by Ignacy Chrzanowski in 1903. It was entitled Erotica, epigrams, pictures, epigrams, and the author described it as Anonymous-Protestant.

The author of the works is not certain. Reals and allusions indicate that the author was a Protestant, encountered French culture and literature, and in 1563 accompanied Jan Baptiste Tęczyński on a trip to Sweden. The texts were attributed to Stanisław Porębski, a poet mentioned by Jan Kochanowski, whose works, however, have not survived. The poems are now attributed to Erasmus Otwinski, although this is not a certainty.

Tracks are heterogeneous. Most of them are erotica in the form of letters, probably addressed to the wife. They contain a lot of details, factual information and recommendations from current correspondence. In addition, the volume contains letters in the form of phrases, partially directed to other people, morphological images, anti-clerical guys.
