Tadeusz Chwałczyk


Tadeusz Karol Chwałczyk (born July 12, 1933 in Rybnik) is a Polish journalist. Author of press releases, radio programs, television programs, photography, short films in the history of aviation.

Curriculum vitae

Graduated from the Faculty of Journalism and Political Science at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate studies at the Institute of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. He worked as a journalist and publicist of the Polish Radio Broadcasting Station in Lublin (1966-1982 and 1985-1990). He was the organizer and first director of Lublin Television (1982-1985). He was the director of the Television Editorial Board of Radio Lublin, and then the manager of the Creative Team of the Warsaw Television Center in Lublin. From October 1990 on retirement then retired. He organized the editorial magazine "Welcome to Lublin", which is the regional title of the nationwide series of "Welcome to ..." magazines, appearing in 10 voivodship cities. He was secretary of the editorial board and then editor-in-chief. Long-time collaborator of nationwide magazines: "Skrzydlata Polska" and "Aerokluby". Member of the Polish Journalists Association, the Polish Journalists Association and the Polish Authorities Association. He actively participated in the activities of the journalists' Clubs - Airmen, Polonia issues and the Military and Defense Publications. He was a co-organizer of the 1951 Aerobatic Worker Club in Świdnik and the founder of the 1988 ROTOR-FILM Film Club in Świdnik. In addition to his didactic work with youth (about 150 film pictures), he has made 27 films, mostly documentaries, with 13 awards and honors (last in 2009). Honors and awards

He is a laureate of many journalistic awards: the National Defense Minister's Award for Military Films (1969) and (1977), the SDP Award for Polonia Journalism (1975), the Air Journalist Club's "Ikara Pen" Award for air journalism. For his professional work and involvement in social activities, he was honored with the Golden Cross of Merit (1982), Honorary Medal of the Polish Radio and Television (1977), Medal of the Air Forces Commands for Merit (1986), Badges of Merit of Culture (1981), Honored for Lublin (1982 and 1987), For merits for Bialystok Region (1984), For honors for Lubelszczyzna (1985), Honorary gold of 1st degree with 3 diamonds of LOT Polish Airlines (1985 Bene Meritus Terrae Lublinensi (2008), award of the National Airborne Council "Blue Wings" (2008), the Cultural Prize (2008), the Gold Medal of the Polish Aeroclub (1989) Marshal of the Lubelskie Voivodeship (2008).
