Fernando Fabricio Platas Álvarez (born March 16, 1973) is a Mexican water jumper. Silver Olympic medalist from Sydney.

The 2000 competition was his third Olympic Games, debuting in 1992. He reached the medal in jumping from the 3 meter trampoline. In 2001 he won the silver medals of the world championship in synchronized jumps both from the tower and the trampoline. He has won numerous medals in pan-American competitions. In 2000 and 2004 he served as the Patron of Mexico at the opening ceremony of the Games.
