Kolesárová
Kolesárová (1508 m) is a peak in the eastern part of the Low Tatras (Kráľovohoľské Tatry) in Slovakia.
PositionKolesárová lies in the main ridge of the Low Tatras, about 2 km west of the Priehyba Pass and about 6 km north of the village of Závadka nad Hronom. The summit is located in the National Park of the Low Tatras, whose border runs south of the Kolesárovéj slopes at an altitude of 1320-1400 m. Characteristic
The Kolesárovéj massif includes a fragment of a ridge that is curved south to this point. Kolesárovéj is located in the southernmost point of this arch. The eastern ridge of the massif falls initially mildly, then becomes steeply toward the Priehyba Pass, while in the west it runs through a shallow saddle (1408 m) to the Oravcovéj (1544 m above sea level). In the north the slopes of Kolesárovéj fall rapidly to the valley of the Závadská stream (source of Ipoltica stream, while on the south side they form a clear, rather broad ridge, descending to the Hron valley.
The peak itself is overgrown with spruce, but the ridge to the east of it and some of the slopes falling from the ridge are covered by mountain meadows, formerly a living pastoral center. On the southern slopes are several springs and some old pastoral kolibas (of varying degrees of conservation). Tourism
The main ridge of the Lower Tatra Mountains through the top of Kolesárovéj is marked by red signs of a long-distance tourist route called Cesta hrdinov SNP:
Mountain meadows east of the summit are a good viewpoint, providing beautiful panoramas especially in the north (eg the High Tatras and the West and the Southern Tatras). Bibliography
