Emission of exoelectrons
Emission of exoelectrons - the phenomenon of emission of low energy electrons (exoelectrons, on average less than 1 eV) from surface layers of materials, occurring only in the case of mechanical interaction (mechanical deformation), thermal (solidification of metal, heating) or optical the optical counterpart is phosphorescence) or chemical (oxidation). Such an effect introduces the body into an imbalance, and the emission of exoelectrons is accompanied by a return to equilibrium. Bibliography
