Sandozak Democratic Action Party

Sandoz's Democratic Action Party (Sandoz) is a Serbian regional political party representing the Shogunate of Sandzak. The group works closely with the Muslim Democratic Action Party in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The group was formed on July 26, 1990 (formally registered in 1996). At the request of Aliji Izetbegovic, they were organized by Sulejman Ugljanin. In 1990 the leader of the SDA took part in the presidential election of Serbia, and the party introduced 3 members to Skupsztina. During the armed conflicts associated with the breakup of Yugoslavia, the party's activities were limited. In 1993 a letter was issued to its leader, who consequently spent three years in Turkey. In 1996, after returning to the country, the SDA leader obtained a mandate from the Federal Assembly. At a later stage, the grouping was not represented at the national level. In 2004, Sulejman Ugljanin won the elections for mayor of Novi Pazar. In 2007, 2008 and 2012 the electoral list organized on the basis of the Sandozak Democratic Action Party introduced 2 representatives to the National Assembly. In 2008 and in 2012 co-created ruling coalitions. In 2014, it had an additional mandate in Skupsztina, and in 2016 its deputies were again reduced to 2 people. Bibliography
