Pine Bajkuszewa
Pine Bajkuszewa Bajkuszev Pine (also known as Bajkuszev Fir) is the oldest coniferous tree growing in Bulgaria and one of the oldest in Bulgaria and in the world, dating back over 1300 years. It is a specimen of the Bosnia pine (Pinus heldreichii H. Christ). Bosnian pines are in a wild state on the Balkan Peninsula and in southern Italy. Pine Bajkuszewa grows at an altitude of 1930 m. in the south-west of the country, in the Pirin National Park in the Piryn Mountains. The name of the pine owes its name to a woodcutter who discovered it in 1897 - Kostadin Bajkuszew. In 2005, the height of the tree is 26 meters, in 2012 30 meters. The circumference of the tree is 7.8 meters and the diameter is 222 cm.
