Franciszek Gollan


Franciszek Gollan (born August 22, 1884 in Łęgajnach near Olsztyn, died December 17, 1957 in Barczewo), popular folk storyteller, farmer.

The lover of Polish literature was known for reciting the extensive fragments of the Teutonic knight Sienkiewicz. He was commemorated in the poetry of Maria Zientary-Malewska and Jan Maria Gisges.
