Alejandro Muñoz-Alonso
Alejandro Muñoz-Alonso y Ledo (born January 11, 1934 in Salamanca, January 24, 2016 in Madrid) is a Spanish politician, lawyer, sociologist and academic teacher, deputy and senator. Curriculum vitae
He graduated in law and political science, studied at the University of Salamanca and at the Complutense University in Madrid. He worked and studied in the field of sociology at the Instituto de Estudios Políticos, the governmental agency dealing with social research. He worked as an academic teacher, was a professor at his home university in Madrid, and later also at the Universidad CEU San Pablo. In the 1970s, he was employed in public administration. the director of the Instituto de Opinión Pública, the opinion poll center. He has authored scientific publications, collaborated with the Cambio 16 magazine and the ABC newspaper.
In the late 1980s he became involved in political activities. In the years 1989-2000 the People's Party sat in the Congress of Deputies IV, V and VI term. In the years 1993-1996 he was a member of the national executive committee of the peoples. From 2000 to 2015 he was a member of the Spanish Senate.
