Zbigniew Gądek
Zbigniew Stanisław Gądek (born on November 26, 1925 in Włodawa, died on July 28, 1998 in Krakow) - Polish architect, urban planner, academic lecturer. Curriculum vitae
In 1953 he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology, and then remained at the university as an academic lecturer. In 1965 he defended his doctoral thesis, and in 1972 he presented his habilitation dissertation. In 1974, he began lecturing at the Faculty of Architecture and became the head of the Urban Planning Team of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, in 1997 he obtained the title of titular professor there. At the same time, he lectured at the Hull School of Architecture and at the University of Sheffield, where in later years he was also a visiting critic. He sat on the Urban Planning and Architecture Commission of the Departments of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Krakow and Katowice.
He is buried at the Rakowicki Cemetery in Krakow (plot N, row 6, grave 16). Bibliography
