Romuald War
Romuald Wojna (born December 20, 1931 in Nowogrodek) is a Polish historian, historian and historian of Russia and Central Europe.
Curriculum vitae Graduate of the Historical Faculty of Warsaw University (1958 - Russian revolutionary movement of the 70s and 80s of the nineteenth century in the Polish press, promoter: Ludwik Bazylow). In the years 1954-1959 the employee of the Polish-Soviet Institute, 1961-1968 PWN Encyclopaedia. Since 1968 a member of the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Doctorate (1974 - Peasant movement and agricultural reform in Russia in 1917 (March-October); promoter Janusz Żarnowski) and habilitation (1985 - Russian village 1918-1920. Political and social changes). Between 1987-1996 he was deputy director of the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences, since 1991 he headed the Astronomical Society of Russia and the USSR. He was also the deputy editor of the "Historical Quartet". It deals with the history of Russia at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
