René Heuvelmans
René Heuvelmans (born August 26, 1939 in Meerhout) is a Belgian cyclist, bronze medalist of the world championship. Career
René Heuvelmans' biggest success came in 1964, when he teamed up with Albert Van Vlierberghe, Roland De Neve and Roland Van De Rijse to win the bronze medal in the Sallanches World Team Championship. It was the only medal he won at an international event of that rank. In addition, in 1960 he won the Brussels-Drieslinter race, and three years later he was the best in the Omloop der Vlaamse Gewesten. He never performed at the Olympic Games. As a professional he competed in the years 1963-1968. Bibliography
