He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz, and also completed postgraduate studies in public procurement. He worked as a legal specialist in the Zgierz water and sewerage company, then from 2012 to 2014 he was deputy president of Zgierz.

In the 2014 election, as a non-party candidate for the Law and Justice party, he applied for the city's presidency, winning the second round of voting in which he defeated Iwona Wieczorek.
