He Zizhen

He Zizhen (born September 1909, died April 19, 1984) is a Chinese Communist activist, third wife of Mao Zedong.

With the communist movement, she became a teenager. At the age of 18 she met Mao. In 1930 he became his third wife. They had five children together. At least two of them were given up for accidental farmers. During the Long March, she was injured and went to Moscow for treatment. At that time, Mao met actor Jiang Qing. It was because of her in 1937 that he and Mao divorced. After the war He Zizhen tried to find abandoned children, but never succeeded.
