Bożena Modnicka


Bożena Modnicka, from Cholewińska (born September 17, 1950 in Jaworzno) is a Polish volleyball player, champion and representative of Poland, European junior championship medalist in 1969 and senior in 1971. Sports career

Her first club was Victoria Jaworzno, from 1968 to 1971 she performed in Baildon Katowice. Since 1971, she has performed in the flames of Milowice, with which she reached the most successes - four titles of the Polish Champion (1974, 1975, 1979, 1980) and bronze medal of the Polish Championships in 1978. From 1980 to 1983 she performed in Italy, in the band Aurora Giarratana.

In 1969 she won the bronze medal of the European junior championship. In the Polish championship, she made her debut on 16 May 1970 in a friendly encounter with the Netherlands. Her biggest success in the championship career was the bronze medal of the European Championship in 1971. She also played in the 1974 European Championships (9th place) and 1978 (11th place) and the European Championship in 1977 (4th place) and 1979 (8th place). On this last event she performed in the national team - October 13, 1979 in a match against Czechoslovakia. In total I represented in 157 meetings, including 136 official.
