Adilia Castillo was born August 26, 1933 in Apure, El Yagual, in San Martin del Yagual, on the banks of the River Arauca. She started her career at the age of 11. Then she went to Caracas, where she took part in musical events and bullfights. In the 1950s she performed on radio, television, theaters and nightclubs.
