Michał Gołdys
Michał Gołdys pseud. Wolfgang, Wlodek (born 25 August 1901 in Rawa Mazowiecka, died October 24, 1967 in Olsztyn) - Polish communist activist, Soviet partisan, Polish political officer, Lomza starosta (1944), UB officer.
He graduated from elementary school and in 1916 went to Lithuania to look for a job, until 1919 he worked there on construction of a railway line, then came to Warsaw and was appointed to military service; He served in 4 and 21 pp in Kielce and Warsaw. Since 1924 a worker in various companies in Warsaw, often dismissed from work. Member of the Communist Youth Union (ZMK) since 1924 (since 1930 KZMP), since 1928 KPP activist. Secretary of the Municipal Committee of the CPP in Italy, Mrs Warsaw, 1931-1933 activist in the District of Warsaw-Lewa Podmiejska. Later the secretary of KPP districts: Kielce, Radom, Łomża. In 1934, at the railway station in Italy, he shot a police officer and escaped, after which he was hiding because of the police search. On June 23, 1936, he was arrested and imprisoned in a Warsaw prison, on 7 October 1937, sentenced to 15 years in prison for communist activity and attempted murder of a policeman; After the amnesty the sentence was reduced to 8 years imprisonment and 10 years of loss of public rights. He was imprisoned in Warsaw and Koronowo prisons, from where he was released on 9 September 1939 after the German attack on Poland. After the surrender of Warsaw, he went to the Soviet-occupied Białystok region, was appointed regional head of the Red Guards in Zambrów, later director of the regional mill industry. Delegate to the Council of Delegates of the Working People in Zambrów. In 1941, evacuated with his family to the Saratov Oblast, soon mobilized into the Red Army, he participated in the Battle of Stalingrad. Later he joined 1 DP im. T. Kosciuszko, deputy commander of the 1st Independent Battalion of Political Mortars. In the spring of 1944 he was sent to the Higher School of Political and Educational Officers in Moscow, soon as lieutenant commander of lieutenant's group, dropped into the Naliboki Forest to the Soviet partisan Confederation of Czernyshev, where he became the commander of the guerrilla division formed - 1 Battalion of the Warsaw Infantry Regiment. T. Kosciuszko, who fought several occassions with the occupier, then was sent to Bialystok and resolved. VIII 1944 appointed by the mayor of Łomża by the plenipotentiary of the PKWN. He joined the PPR, in 1945 he was a member of the executive committee of the District Committee (KP) PPr in Rawa Mazowiecka. Later employee of the Regional Trade Center in Olsztyn. 1959 The State Council of the People's Republic of Poland took advantage of the right of grace and ordered the blatant conviction of Michał Gołdys.
