Vasily Shevchenko
Wasilij Tarasovich Shevchenko (Russian: Василий Тарасович Шевченко, born December 22nd, 1921 in Vladimirovka village in the Kustanag Governorate, died April 3, 2012 in Almaty) is an officer of the Soviet security forces, lieutenant general, chairman of the KGB, Kazakh National Socialist Republic (1975-1982) ) and the Tajik SRR (1970-1975).
In 1940, a teacher in high school, 1940-1941, a junior course instructor of the junior politruces of the Moscow Military District, again in 1941-1942, a teacher in secondary school, 1942-1943 head of the special executive committee of the district council in the Kustanian region. In 1943, NKGB USSR student in Almaty, 1943-1944 NKGB Regional Operational Officer in Kustanaj Oblast, 1944-1945 Operation Officer and Senior Operating Officer of the NKGB Board of the Kustanaya Region, 1945 Special Investigators of the NKGB of the Kazakh SSR, 1945-1949 Regional Head NKGB / MGB branch of the Kustanayan circuit. From 1949 Head of Department and Department of the MGB Board of the Jebunal Region, 1955 Deputy Chief of the KGB Board of the Jambulian Region, 1955-1961 Head of the KGB Board of the North-Kazakh Circuit (now the Karaganda Circuit). 1958 graduated from the Kirov State University of Kazakhstan, 1961-1965 head of the KGB National Board in Celinograd (now Astana), 1965-1971 deputy chairman of the KGB at the Council of Ministers of the SRR. From November 1970 to September 1975, the KGB president at the Council of Ministers of the SRR, from November 1975 to February 1982, the KGB chairman of the Kazakh SSR, in November 1978 appointed lieutenant general.
