The story of the life of Alexander the Great
The story of the life and prominent affairs of Alexander the Great, the Macedonian king, is a prose-reading piece published in Polish in 1550.
The work is an anonymous translation of the work of the Historia Alexandri Magni, regis Macedioniae, de proeliis of the 10th century. It was published in Helena Ungler's printing house, widowed by Florian Ungler in Cracow in 1550. The revival of the work was published until the 18th century. History tells the story of Alexander the Great, but contains many legendary and fantastic motifs. It is the second translation of the Latin text into Polish. First, the story of Alexander the Great from about 1510, was not published in print and remains in the manuscript. The story of life has a greater linguistic value than the previous translation. In fact, there are no major differences. Bibliography
